Alcohol detox in Yerevan
Medical assessment, support for alcohol withdrawal and selection of a safer outpatient, home or monitored setting.
Alcohol detoxification is not a generic ‘cleanse’. It is a medical stage for assessing and managing intoxication or withdrawal more safely. Risk depends on duration of use, previous seizures or delirium, medical conditions, medication and the current presentation.
Risk and the required level of observation are decided before procedures, setting and cost are discussed.

When not to wait
Seizures, confusion, hallucinations, loss of consciousness, abnormal breathing, severe chest pain or rapid deterioration require a call to 112. A clinic enquiry does not replace emergency care.
- Do not leave an unconscious or confused person alone
- Do not combine alcohol with sleeping or sedating medication
- Do not abruptly stop prolonged heavy use without a risk assessment
How the setting is chosen
The assessment covers the last drink, duration of the episode, withdrawal symptoms, vital signs, long-term conditions and medication. Options may include outpatient care, a home visit, observation at the centre or hospital referral.
- Outpatient care for stable, lower-risk situations
- Home care only with a suitable environment and supervision
- Inpatient care for complications or a high risk of deterioration

Share only what you feel ready to share. A professional can distinguish an emergency from a planned-care need and suggest one realistic next step.
What follows detox
Stabilisation does not remove the reasons repeated drinking returns. Before the acute stage ends, agree the next appointment, care for co-existing conditions and a practical plan for the first alcohol-free days.
You can begin without sharing your whole personal history
For a first enquiry, a short description of the situation is enough. You do not have to give your full name or share sensitive details; a specialist will calmly explain the possible next steps.
- No judgement or pressure
- Only information needed for care is discussed
- Privacy rules and lawful limits are explained before treatment
One conversation, one clear next step

- 04You receive one clear option for what to do next
Frequently asked questions
What does alcohol detox cost?
The approved price is AMD 30,000 per day for outpatient detoxification and AMD 60,000 per day at home. The appropriate setting follows a safety assessment.
Is an IV drip all that is needed?
Not everyone needs intravenous fluids, and an IV does not replace diagnosis. Medication and fluids should follow an individual assessment.
Does detox treat alcohol dependence?
It addresses the acute stage. Sustained recovery usually needs continuing medical, psychological and family support.
